Careers at Nivaar
We are looking for people who believe access is a right, not a privilege — and who want to do something about it.
The Nivaar Project
"Nivaar (ਨਿਵਾਰਿ) — a Gurmukhi word from Gurbani, meaning to eradicate, to dispel. We eradicate the barrier of clothing."
The Nivaar Project collects gently-used professional Indian and western clothing and redistributes it to individuals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds preparing for interviews, internships, and workplaces.
The initiative is rooted in dignity, access, and professional confidence. We believe that appropriate professional clothing should never be a barrier to opportunity.
This is an early-stage initiative. Joining now means building something from the ground up — with a team that measures success in lives changed, not numbers on a slide.
The Operations & Community Associate will be the first full-time team member of The Nivaar Project and will play a foundational role in building day-to-day operations.
What This Role Covers
This is a highly hands-on position. The ideal candidate is organised, empathetic, resourceful, and deeply aligned with the mission of equitable access and dignity-first redistribution.
You don't need a polished CV. You need a genuine alignment with why this work matters.
This position is reserved for individuals from marginalised communities and/or minority backgrounds. The Nivaar Project is committed to creating pathways for equitable participation and leadership within the organisation.
Candidates from historically underrepresented and structurally disadvantaged communities are strongly encouraged to apply. We believe the people who understand the barriers we are dismantling should be the ones doing the dismantling.
